why are they black though

Just a gimmic. They are not black anymore after bedding.

You didn’t bed the brakes with paint on the rotor surface, did you?

I don’t think it’s paint. There was no mention of it on the box or in the instructions.

OK, cool, it’s designed for that. Just wanted to make sure you didn’t pull the ‘ol “I’m going to paint my whole rotor so it looks cool!” move.

Cool! Teflon Coated to ensure minimal noise. Stopping is overrated.
Just kidding.

Ummm... I think you’re a few pieces short of ‘fully functional’... like brake pads.

Any issues with the hardware and pad binding?

I have a manager (‘who knows cars’, he says) who did that. There was also something about caliper pins and abs cables he thought he didn’t need and then he wondered why his brakes weren’t right.
Thing is, he’s Polish and his dad’s a mechanic. He must of been peeing himself laughing.

I think it’d be cool if they stayed black. My slotted rotors came black with the slots silver and I was like “well maybe they figured it out?”....nope

I went for the lightweight brakes.

Nope. Everything went smoothly.

And low friction for better fuel economy!
